The Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies (Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril – ESHTE), created in 1991, is a public polytechnic higher education institution under the tutelage of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

ESHTE plays a leading role in the development, transmission and dissemination of highly-qualified knowledge and training in the areas of tourism, hospitality and catering.

As a centre for the development of tourism and hospitality activities, both in education and applied research, ESHTE has always been actively engaged with the business sector in order to adapt its teaching/learning practices to the requirements of the labour market and thus facilitate the employability of its graduate students.

A Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril (ESHTE), criada em 1991, é um estabelecimento de ensino superior politécnico, tutelado pelo Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior.

A ESHTE assume um papel de liderança na criação, transmissão e difusão de conhecimentos relacionados com o exercícios de atividades profissionais altamente qualificadas nas áreas do turismo, hotelaria e restauração.

Enquanto centro para o desenvolvimento de atividades no setor do turismo e hotelaria, quer no âmbito da educação, quer ao nível da investigação aplicada, a ESHTE tem uma relação estreita com o mercado de trabalho, o que lhe permite adaptar as suas prácticas de ensino-aprendizagem aos requisitos do setor e assim facilitar a empregabilidade dos seus diplomados.
